A Life of Music

I have been a part-time singer and keyboardist in more than a dozen groups spanning nearly 60 years centered in Greenbelt, MD ten miles outside of Washington, DC.  I started in a teen group in 1964 called The Rockin' Rejects, which later morphed into Donnie & The Diablos.  Other ventures included The Fifth Edition, The Talents, a short stint in Venus and the Flytraps, Chi Square, Electric Fantasy, Quinn, Can-Do, Harvest, and Jimmy Moore & The Rangers.

After a 16-year hiatus , I resumed band involvement with the The Good Guys from Greenbelt in 1999.  In 2015 I helped to form The Relics,  an oldies band constituted of friends from Greenbelt Community Church   I retired from active performance in formal bands in December 2018.   Today I keep active on solo work at home, as well as jamming at The Old Bowie Towne Grille and occasionally sitting in with the host band 'The Low-Rent Quartet.'

.On this site you will find  solo songs that I have written and included in the playlist. (Music Section). My writing tells stories and makes statements without emphasis on 'hooks' or repeated phrases. The words are provided in the Lyrics Section.  I have also posted solo work on variations of cover songs, as well as songs from four of my bands.  The oldest recordings were revived with modern software.

If you enjoy the music, it's all downloadable with no fee, although all of it is copyrighted by me or the original writers.  The 'Links' button provides access to videos I have made for some of the music and my other web presentations.  There is a link to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund where I encourage you to make a donation.   Thanks for visiting,  Rick=
